What do Booksy, Vagaro and GlossGenius cost?
None of them has a free tier. Booksy is $29.99/mo plus tax, with each additional team member at $20/mo, and its Boost program takes 30% of a new client's first visit. GlossGenius starts at $24/mo billed annually, with texting metered at 500 credits a month on that plan. Vagaro doesn't publish pricing we can verify on its own pages — it's a paid per-calendar subscription with a free trial, and we don't repeat numbers we can't trace to the vendor. Can I add all my stylists and locations for free?
Yes — there are no per-stylist seats and no location tiers. Every stylist, barber and nail tech gets their own services, hours and availability, and you can run multiple locations from one account, all on the same $0 plan.
How do my clients book — do they need an app?
No app. Clients book through your hosted booking page or the booking widget embedded on your own website. RZRV syncs two-way with Google Calendar so every booking lands on the schedule you already check. An AI booking assistant is rolling out, but the booking page and widget are how clients book today.
What's the catch with free salon booking software?
There's no usage catch: no booking caps, no per-stylist fees, and 0% commission. The honest trade-off: RZRV doesn't process payments, so if you need to collect deposits at the moment of booking, a paid tool like Acuity — or Setmore's free plan — handles that part.
